    "For Skaters - By Skaters"
In case you don't know, THIS is a method air

    Sickenberg
    4/26/2010

AZPX brought the crew back to the Wickenberg skatepark for another battle for the Beer Cooler Trophy.  The cooler was sporting a fresh set of Jimmy the Greek wheels from the last winner and was stocked with cold PBR's.  After a beautiful day of skating and barbecuing the trophy was awarded to Rich Zuccarello.  Although Rich ripped it up I thought it was a tough call because there was some serious skating going on.  It seemed like Rad Pinkard was in the bowl between every skater.  He was flying and popped some of the biggest hip airs I have seen there.  Smiley brought the crew up from Tucson and they were killing it too.  Congratulations Rich!

    The Living Room
    4/12/2010

Greg's not crazy.  Really.  But he did lose his mind to the pursuit of skateboarding.  Somehow an idea sparked in his mind to create a skate environment in his house.  He told me he wanted to to be so difficult that he would think "Oh my God, what have I done" yet still be able to actually ride it with enough determination and practice.

When he would talk to me about it I would just shake my head.  Did he really want to do that to his house?  But on the other side was another voice.  Chris was all for it and helped Greg dream up the possibilities.  Greg has plenty of time to dream.  He has neither computer or TV at his house to distract him.  He is more of a go skating or read a book kind of guy.

So with some patient carpentry the dream was realized in his living and dining rooms.  A bowl-like structure with tiny 3 foot transitions up to the walls and an over-vert pocket six and a half feet high.

It takes baby steps to skate the thing.  The transitions are so tiny that you are just as likely to slam your face into the wall as you are to ride up it.  Normal humans can barely adjust to the environment but Greg and Chris Livingston thrive on such tight transitions.

In the photos you can see the masonite dust illuminated by the camera flash.

In the video below Greg, Chris and Nick take a run in the bowl.
